So, I keep telling myself I need to practice more and… I actually practiced this week. Then when 2HTS came around I said, “I want to make doom rock” and I pulled out my baritone. Which was covered and dust, I had not practiced and it’s in desperate need of a setup. But all my real problems were in the mix and I ran out of time so it’s going into Garbage until I feel like trying to at least remix and remaster it. The theme was “Museum”.

Or maybe more, I sort of started in August.

They gave us a Halloween theme so I made a Halloween song. It was “cellar” and I’m woefully out of practice on guitars and drums as I’ve mostly been messing with PowerTable9k for the last couple of weeks.

I’m not sure if we’ll have a special this year or if I’ll do something else. It doesn’t look like I’ll do another coloring book this year, but the old one is still available on Amazon.

…but by the time i was done I decided it was too … Spicy. So that’s where it is. The theme was “wink” and that’s just what came out of the pen when it came time for lyrics.

We got a theme of ‘Perspective’ so I went very experimental techno where synths are just slowly panning back and forth. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to listen to it on purpose, but it’s over in Experimental.

We had a theme of ‘Halo’ and I wasn’t feeling anything lyrically and by the time I’d recorded the drums and the bass (not my usual order, certainly) I was feeling it even less. By the time the guitars were done I couldn’t have put lyrics to it if you paid me, so I gave it a silly title and uploaded it to Shoe Gaze.
