“At the end of my 20’s, circa 2004, I went through a folk-emo phase and produced two EPs using a Yamaha AW16g. Jammin’ Joe and Urban C. provided the drums and bass, while I played guitars and whined about how sad I was. The first was titled Failure to Thrive and the second was The Pale Cast of Thought. I eventually combined them into one eponymously titled album. We stopped playing these songs because the bassist said ‘Your songs are so boring’.”
